The European Union Agency for Cybersecurity published a new report on data protection engineering, which broadly looks at data protection engineering to support practitioners and organizations. It sought to assist with the practical implementation of the technical aspects of data protection by design and by default. The report presented existing security technologies, and discussed their strengths and applicability to prepare to meet the data protection principles mandated by the EU General Data Protection Regulation.
