The Centre for Information Policy Leadership published a white paper aimed at improving the EU General Data Protection Regulation's one-stop shop mechanism. The CIPL views the mechanism as one of the "essential elements supporting the public policy goal of uniform enforcement" and calls for further harmonization among supervisory authorities. The recommendations include developing a more common framework for supervisory authorities regarding procedural rules, fines and transparency in order to reduce tensions among supervisory authorities.
