This study, published in the Journal of Medical Internet Research, compares data privacy methods for effectiveness at protecting data privacy and evaluates their findings. The study tested traditional approaches of using a trusted third party, cryptographic hardware and blockchain techniques. In conclusion, it found combining methods with blockchain techniques was the most secure approach.
