Age assessment and fingerprinting of children in asylum procedures — Minimum age requirements concerning children’s rights in the EU

The report is one of two FRA reports addressing minimum age requirements in particular fields. This focuses on issues related to age assessment and child fingerprinting, taking into consideration the work already undertaken at the EU level, especially by the European Asylum Support Office. In addition, the forthcoming reform of the Common European Asylum System also affects the age at which a child in the asylum procedure is called on to provide fingerprints.
