Sen. Mark Warner, D-Va., said a bipartisan majority of lawmakers in Congress will likely support regulating social media, Bloomberg reports. Warner’s comments come after Twitter and Facebook executives testified on Capitol Hill on their practices. "Depending on how we framed it, I think we’d have an overwhelming majority," Warner said. "I think there is a high chance that people realize that the days of the wild, wild west are over, that there needs to be some guardrails." Meanwhile, The Information Accountability Foundation discusses the "fourth privacy legislative wave," including its own work in helping to develop a federal U.S. privacy law.
