Privacy International Research Officer Tom Fisher considers the addition of facial recognition as presenting "opportunities for exploitation," also noting the technology is "far from benign."
- The China Security and Protection Industry Association warned against potential risks with facial recognition being used in video games, the South China Morning Post reports. “In some unnecessary scenarios, exchanging one’s privacy for access will inevitably lead to other problems,” the association said in an op-ed on the China Security Network portal.
