Amazon Web Services acquired encrypted messaging application Wickr, VICE reports. AWS Vice President and Chief Information Security Officer Stephen Schmidt called Wickr “an innovative company that has developed the industry’s most secure, end-to-end encrypted communication technology.” In an announcement on its website, Wickr said it looks forward “to taking our solutions to the next level for our customers and partners.”
