Hackers placed data stolen from automaker Volkswagen, affecting 3.3 million customers, for sale on a hacking forum, VICE reports. A hacker — who posted data samples including full names, addresses and phone numbers — said the data includes email addresses and Vehicle Identification Numbers, but does not include Social Security numbers or drivers’ license information. Volkswagen said it learned of the breach in early March and stolen data ranged from 2014 to 2019.
