  • Austria's Federal Administrative Court, Bundesverwaltungsgericht, overturned an 18 million euro EU General Data Protection Regulation fine issued to Post AG by the Data Protection Authority. The court found the DPA did not cite a natural person responsible for the postal service's violations, which invalidated the decision.
  • Sweden's data protection authority, Datainspektionen, announced fines of amounts ranging between SEK 2.5 million to SEK 30 million against seven health care providers in relation to unlawful access to patient data. The fines were a result of providers not implementing a need and risk analysis while determining the level of access employees were given to personal data.
