While acting director of the Office of Personnel Management, Beth Cobert, received “unanimous support” for her nomination by the Senate Homeland Security and Government Affairs Committee, the group’s chairman, Sen. Ron Johnson, R-Wis., cautions that further Senate approval will only come after she completes a few important tasks, the Morning Consult reports. Top of the list is complying with Rep. Jason Chaffetz’s, R-Utah, subpoena that would divulge details of the OPM’s massive 2015 hack. “Chaffetz complained last week that OPM, under Cobert’s leadership, was not cooperating with his requests for information,” the report states. “Johnson made it clear Wednesday that his support for Cobert is contingent” on OPM cooperation,” the report continued.
