Vice reports U.S. Sen. Ron Wyden, D-Ore., is pushing the Department of Defense to release information to the public on what he believes to be warrantless surveillance of Americans. Wyden was provided classified answers to his questions, but the lawmaker wants the public to understand the nature of practices of DoD and its agencies, including the National Security Agency. The probe comes after Wyden was made aware of DoD's data purchasing for surveillance purposes in November 2020.
