In this week's Privacy Tracker global legislative roundup, the Permanent Representatives Committee of the Council of the European Union rejected the draft of the ePrivacy Regulation. The Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada and Information and Privacy Commissioner for British Columbia found a data analytics firm violated federal and provincial privacy laws. A number of fines were handed down in the European Union and the U.S. And in the U.S., a new federal privacy bill was introduced. (IAPP member login required.)
