The Romanian National Supervisory Authority issued a 10,000 lei fine against Artmark Holding for allegedly sending commercial email messages without consent, according to the European Data Protection Board. The Romanian DPA found Artmark had sent unsolicited email messages to the complainant and continued to do so after he asked the company to delete his information from their database. The agency issued the fine as Artmark violated “Article 13 paragraph (1) letter q) of Law no. 506/2004, corroborated with Article 13 paragraph (5) of Law no. 506/2004 and with Article 7 of the Government Ordinance no. 2/2001.”
