While all organizations are subject to cyberattacks, a recent report shows how small- and mid-sized companies increasingly find themselves as a target for cybercriminals, ZDNet reports. The Cisco Cybersecurity Special Report, which leveraged data from 1,816 SMB respondents spread across 26 countries, found 53 percent of respondents had experienced a data breach. The report also included information on the costly consequences of data breaches for SMBs, with 29 percent reporting a breach response would cost under $100,000, while another 20 percent reported spending between $1 million and $2.5 million to resolve.
