The Personal Data Protection Commission (PDPC) has issued its second annual report, In Partnership To Foster Trust 2014/15, which celebrates the milestones "it has achieved in terms of stronger partnerships and extended initiatives.” Last year, the report states, the PDPC focused on implementation of the Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA) via outreach. Those efforts resulted in “heightened awareness of personal data protection among organisations and consumers.” In fact, annual surveys found more than 80 percent of organizations had “some form of data protection policies and practices in place to comply with the PDPA,” and 86 percent of consumers surveyed said they noticed “a shift in organizational policies.”
