North Dakota’s House unanimously passed legislation to study personal internet data issues, KFGO reports. The bill, introduced by Rep. Jim Kasper, R-Fargo, was originally intended to empower state residents to know what data has been collected by a company and how it has been shared and allow them to request that the data be deleted but was amended to first study the issue. Meanwhile, the House voted against a bill that would make it a Class B misdemeanor for using a drone to spy on or record someone in a private place after first approving the bill.
