The U.S. National Institute of Standards and Technology announced a public comment period for its white paper on consumer confidence in Internet of Things security. NIST describes the paper, which is based off research and opinions from government and industry, as one that outlines the "landscape of confidence mechanisms that are currently available for establishing the security of IoT devices in the marketplace." The deadline for public comments is June 14.
