DeepMind Health and the NHS Royal Free Hospital Trust in London have allied for a second time to bring medical app Streams to hospitals after a controversial first go, Tech Crunch reports. "Following prototype testing, as well as registration with the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency, this first version of Streams is ready to be deployed to clinicians across the Royal Free hospital sites early in 2017," DeepMind and the Royal Free said in a press release. They added that app developers were considering expanding its "remit to cover early detection of sepsis and organ failure, as well as [acute kidney injury]," the report states.
