While the U.K. buzzed this week about Article 50 and Scotland's second attempt at independence, British privacy pros could be forgiven for turning their attention away from the General Data Protection Regulation. However, new research released Wednesday by the IAPP's Westin Research Center shows 94 percent of U.K. privacy professionals are working toward GDPR compliance and are not waiting for Brexit's culmination. Further, the research shows the top steps they're taking to prepare and ranks the difficulty of the GDPR's many requirements.
