A report from the Future of Privacy Forum and DataGuidance provides a comparison of the EU General Data Protection Regulation and the California Consumer Privacy Act of 2018. “Comparing privacy laws: GDPR v. CCPA” highlights how the two differ in scope of applicability, collection limitations and accountability while also showing the similarities, including definitions, protections for minors under 16, and the inclusion of rights to access personal information. DataGuidance CEO David Longford said, “Organizations around the world will find the guide helpful in understanding and complying with the GDPR and the CCPA.” DataGuidance will host a webinar Dec. 13 at 10:00 a.m. ET to address the report.
