In 2019, Aaron Ford was elected as Nevada’s 34th attorney general after serving six years in the state Senate, including as both minority and majority leader. Ford brings a well-rounded perspective to his role, having represented small and large businesses, municipalities and individuals in private practice before shifting his career to public service. Ford spoke with Reed Smith's Alexis Cocco, CIPP/US, and Divonne Smoyer, CIPP/US, about how his office handles reported data breaches and the best ways to comply with the state's data privacy law.
