- The personal information of more than 40,000 UofL Health patients was mistakenly emailed to an address outside of the Kentucky-based health care system’s network, InfoSecurity Magazine reports. UofL Health said the recipient did not view or access the data.
- Renown Health announced a data breach of its cloud-based storage provider may have exposed health data of patients in Nevada and surrounding states, including Social Security numbers, birth dates and medical details, News4 reports.
- Data of 700 million LinkedIn users was posted for sale by a user on RaidForums, Forbes reports. In a statement, LinkedIn said an initial investigation “has determined that no private LinkedIn member data was exposed.”
- Mercedes-Benz USA says a data breach may have exposed customers’ and potential buyers’ driver’s license and Social Security numbers and credit card information, CNET reports. The company said less than 1,000 customers were affected.
- In its response to suspected SolarWinds hackers, Microsoft identified a new breach of its customer support tools that may have impacted Microsoft Services subscriptions data, Reuters reports.
