Halifax law firm Wagners is considering a potential class-action lawsuit following the breach of Nova Scotia’s freedom-of-information website, Global News reports. The breach involved 7,000 documents, with an estimated 250 containing sensitive information. A 19-year-old man has been arrested in connection to the breach. Wagners is asking anyone who has been affected by the incident to contact their office before launching any legal efforts. “It’s very concerning that highly sensitive information was compromised and accessed so readily, and that on top of that, the government delayed informing the public, and those whose information was accessed, of the breach,” law firm founder Ray Wagner said in a statement.
