Italy's data protection authority, the Garante, has requested the European Data Protection Board create a task force that will address TikTok's growing data protection issues and threats. Garante President Antonello Soro sent a letter to the EDPB regarding the need to police TikTok, which the Garante said requires "co-ordinated action against risks to users' data ... especially to protect children."
