The Italian data protection authority, the Garante, the Italian Competition Authority and Authority for Communications Guarantees of Italy released their guidelines and recommendations based on a survey started in 2017 on big data. The three agencies interviewed organizations from the telecommunications, financial and publishing industries, as well as professionals and academics to understand the impact privacy and regulation have on the development of digital economy, focusing on big data.
