The Irish Data Protection Commission has launched a public consultation on children’s data protection rights under the EU General Data Protection Regulation, The Irish Times reports. The consultation will have two parts: one focused on children and another focused on adults. The DPC seeks submissions from students, parents, educators and organizations that process children’s information. The agency will take the responses it receives from children and adults to create guidance materials, as well as work with various stakeholders to produce best practices for when children’s data is processed. The consultation will run until 1 March. (Registration may be required to access this story.)
