Under The Boston Globe’s new “Fresh Start” initiative, individuals can request past online coverage about them be updated or anonymized, the paper reports. Managing Editor for Digital Jason Tuohey said a high bar will be set for updating or anonymizing articles about public figures or regarding serious crimes. “It was never our intent to have a short and relatively inconsequential Globe story affect the futures of the ordinary people who might be the subjects,” Editor Brian McGrory said.
