The transition to online learning amid the COVID-19 pandemic is taking a toll on children’s privacy, Axios reports. Children’s privacy professionals express concerns about what is happening with students’ data, the level of teacher training in student data privacy requirements, and educational inequalities enabling certain school districts to better deal with privacy and cybersecurity compliance. Campaign for a Commercial-Free Childhood Executive Director Josh Golin said, “ ... this stuff needs to be much more important. We can’t cut corners on privacy.”
