The U.K. Information Commissioner's Office will publish its 2022-2025 strategic plan July 14. The regulator will draft the plan with the aim "to understand and describe our priorities, enabling us to make informed choices about the action we take and the interventions we make." Information Commissioner John Edwards said the office is "ready to change gear" under the plan. Edwards issued an open letter to public sector employees June 30 and wrote he was "setting out a revised approach to working more effectively with public authorities across the U.K." The new strategy is likely separate from the expected change to ICO functions under the proposed U.K. data protection reforms.
