The IAPP has released the hard-copy version of the second edition of the “DPO Handbook: Data Protection Officers Under the GDPR.” The book examines the role of the data protection officer in the era of the EU General Data Protection Regulation. The second edition of the “DPO Handbook” is updated with advice on GDPR training for different staff members, thoughts on ISO 27001 and the CNIL’s methodology on the inspection of organizations’ security profiles, and guidance from the European Data Protection Board. The book is written for DPOs of all levels of experience and data controllers and processors who are charged with deciding whether their organization needs someone in the role.
