Starting April 2022, Google will require applications on its Play Store to provide mandatory privacy notices, according to a Google Android blog post. The notices will be required as part of a new safety section on the Play Store, intended to include details about apps’ privacy, security, data collection, use and more. Google previously required privacy notices for family-friendly Play Store apps only. The Play Store’s safety section will go live at the beginning of 2022.
