ZDNet reports Google told Australia's Federal Court the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission's allegations of location privacy violations are "out of context." In a case regarding potential misinformation on how to stop Android location data from being stored, Google argued it is transparent with its collection and storage methods, while suggesting the ACCC's argument was based on the need for location data settings bundled on one page. To clarify misinterpretations about the matter, Justice Thomas Thawley ordered both parties to exchange letters regarding the complaints before the case proceeds.
