Google has announced it is revamping its advertising tools in order to offer more transparency into why users see targeted ads, VentureBeat reports. Google’s Ad Settings tool is one of the services receiving an update, enabling users to look at the different categories of algorithms used to serve targeted ads and giving them the choice to remove them from consideration within their accounts. The tech company’s “Why this ad?” tool will also now be available across all its products and services. “With these improvements, you can browse the web confidently knowing that you have the information and control to make Google work better for you,” Google Product Manager Philippe de Lurand Pierre-Paul wrote in a blog post.
