A comment by FBI Director James Comey may have revealed how much the agency spent to crack the iPhone of the San Bernardino attackers, NBC News reports. While discussing the case at a security conference in London, Comey said the organization paid “a lot, more than I will make in the remainder of this job, which is seven years and four months, for sure." Based on the time frame Comey offered, multiplied by his salary over $180,000 a year, NBC News comes to a figure of $1.3 million. FBI officials were not available to comment on the figure. Comey added, “But it was in my view worth it.” He also said the FBI will be able to use the software used to crack the San Bernardino iPhone on other iPhone 5s with IOS 9 software.
