Facebook and New York University’s Cybersecurity for Democracy team are are disagreeing over data used to study the platform's targeting of political advertisements, The Wall Street Journal reports. Members of the research team said the accounts, pages and access of the NYU Ad Observatory were disabled in an effort to silence the project, while Facebook Product Management Director Mike Clark said the researchers used "unauthorized means to access and collect data" in violation of the platform's Terms of Service.
