Wired reports on the purchase of Twitter by Elon Musk and the emerging privacy concerns based on Musk's comments. He has floated a real-name policy, saying he wants to authenticate "all humans," and open sourcing the company's algorithm, for example. Regarding the potential real-name policy, Jeffrey Kosseff, an associate professor of cybersecurity at the U.S. Naval Academy, said, "I don't know what Musk means by this, but what would concern me most would be if everyone had to authenticate their identity with Twitter." Relatedly, the Electronic Frontier Foundation published a blog post outlining what Musk should do to protect privacy and security for Twitter users.
