The European Data Protection Board adopted a statement on processing personal data amid the COVID-19 pandemic. The statement covers the processing of location and special categories of data. It also includes information for employers on asking employees for health information. "The EDPB would like to underline that, even in these exceptional times, the data controller and processor must ensure the protection of the personal data of the data subjects," the statement reads.
