Reps. Bob Latta, R-Ohio, and Jerry McNerney, D-Calif., created a congressional caucus to explore Wi-Fi policy issues and educate lawmakers on the role of Wi-Fi in its relation to emerging technologies, Nextgov reports. Also reported, the Senate voted to change the U.S. Homeland Security Department’s cybersecurity division, previously known as the National Protection and Programs Directorate, to the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency, and Sen. Gary Peters, D-Mich., has requested a briefing from Defense Secretary Jim Mattis on the alleged hardware used by spies to infiltrate the U.S. supply chain.
