The French Data Protection Authority, the CNIL, has published new guidelines on bring your own device (BYOD), reports Hogan Lovells’ Chronicle of Data Protection. The guidance includes that if a company has already made a standard declaration to the CNIL about employee management or employs a data protection officer, there’s no need for additional declarations to cover its BYOD policy.
