According to a blog post from Brave Chief Policy & Industry Relations Officer Johnny Ryan, the Irish Data Protection Commission has transferred a complaint from Brave relating to IAB Europe to the Belgian Data Protection Authority under the EU General Data Protection Regulation's "one stop shop" mechanism. Ryan filed a complaint to the Irish DPC against what he says is IAB Europe's "unlawful cookie wall." According to the post, IAB Europe has not replied to the Irish DPC. With the transfer, "Under the GDPR, the Belgian [DPA] has the power to compel answers from IAB Europe," Brave's post states.
