The Australian Department of Immigration and Border Protection announced 18 data breaches occurred between July 2012 and May 2017 in a report to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner, ZDNet reports. The DIBP also announced that it was not subject to a successful cyberattack during that time. This follows the Australian National Audit Office's finding that the DIBP was “lacking on the security front.”
