Starting Dec. 8, Apple will require application developers to add privacy “nutrition labels” that list the information they collect on users, The Verge reports. The labels will disclose what data the app and any third parties collect, presented visually on the app page before it is downloaded, and developers will be required to keep these notices up to date. Meanwhile, Dell enabled Linux hardware privacy controls that will prevent any program from accessing a laptop’s audio or video streams.
