Apple has told app developers to either remove or properly disclose the use of analytics tools that allow them to record screen interaction or face removal from Apple’s App Store, TechCrunch reports. The call follows an investigation that found several apps employed “session replay” technology. Meanwhile, Gizmodo reports that Apple has begun removing an option in Safari’s privacy settings called “Do Not Track” after the privacy project ended last month. Previously, Gizmodo reported on the general ineffectiveness of such options.
