The government of Alberta will require all police officers to wear body cameras, CBC News reports. Brandon University sociology professor Christopher Schneider said the cameras raise privacy concerns and data storage can be costly. "I think the public should be alarmed by the adoption of these devices," he said. A spokesperson for the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner of Alberta said it anticipates information from the Alberta Association of Chiefs of Police on plans to uphold privacy rights.
