Law Technology News reports on what may be the privacy advocate’s golden age. “There’s never been a better time for privacy advocates than today,” said one privacy consultant. “And I suspect I’ll be saying the same thing in five years.” While privacy advocates have been around for decades, they are attracting more attention than ever before. That’s thanks in part to former NSA-contractor Edward Snowden’s revelations last summer. However, funding is often a problem, and various groups—while at times working together to fortify their influence—find themselves scrambling for a limited amount of funding from donations or cy pres awards.
