The Guardian reports Civil Liberties Australia CEO Bill Rowlings is calling for authorities stationed at the Western Australia border to be more sensitive to travelers' privacy. Some passing through the border have reported the intrusiveness of border officers, who allegedly demand information on personal circumstances for entering the region. "Police obviously have to do a lot better at airport screening to protect people’s privacy, which is a clear responsibility under WA law," Rowlings said.
