The Australian Digital Health Agency called for a limit to the "number and type" of data breaches organizations need to disclose under federal law, iTnews reports. The agency seeks a harmonization between the data breach reporting requirements of the My Health Records Act and the Privacy Act. "The definition of a breach under section 75 of the My Health Records Act 2012 is very broad and substantially differs from what the community may reasonably consider to be a ‘breach,’ the ADHA said in its submission. "It also differs substantially from the notifiable data breach scheme requirements under the Privacy Act."
