Access Now is urging Zoom to release a transparency report detailing its collection and use of personal data, The Verge reports. In a letter to Zoom, the digital advocacy rights group said the growing demand for video conferencing during the COVID-19 pandemic makes it a target for malicious actors “seeking personal data and sensitive information.” Zoom should “disclose its policies and procedures protecting the data and accounts of everyone interacting with its services.” Zoom said it is considering the request.
