The Federal Trade Commission (FTC) and the Department of Justice will offer a free public forum on July 12 in Washington, DC, called "Stolen Futures: A Forum on Child Identity Theft," which will feature representatives from government agencies, businesses, victims' advocates, nonprofits and legal service providers, the report states. "Among the things we'll talk about at the forum is how this information is getting out and how better to protect it," said an FTC spokeswoman.
