Spain's data protection authority, the Agencia Española de Protección de Datos, adapted its guide on the use of cookies to meet the consent guidelines revised by the European Data Protection Board in May. The new criteria must be implemented by October 31, 2020. The guide states “cookie walls” that do not offer an alternative to consent may not be used and a “continue browsing” option does not constitute valid consent.
